Clean cut culture is a little too organized,
and pop music + mascara doesn't = pop rock
or emo, or red carpet diary confessions...
'cause we've all heard it before--
recited thoughts to thumping hearts
and swore we'd never say a word.
then commend someone else
for exposing private insights.

Yet I continue to write what I write,
walk with the same foot forward
and run with my ideas
like the day before.

'cause a friend told me
One- Dont sweat the small shit.
Two- Everything is small shit.

I'd rather pass it on
than pass it up...

Hip Hop Saved Me.

I often get asked, "What got you so into Hip-Hop" simply because those who don't truly love the Art of Expression will never quite understand. Hip Hop is not just "music" Hip Hop is a culture, a movement. Something birthed from all of us. To some, it's whats blasting on their radios. To others, it's inside of us, it stays with us daily. It cannot be turned down or muted, paused or skipped. What about those who profess their love for Hip Hop but can not deliver the love to actually contribute much to it.

Have you taken the time to learn? Have you looked deep into the roots of "Hip Hop" ? You claim you love it, get to know it...

HIP HOP IS A MOVEMENT! HIP HOP IS A CULTURE!
Wake up! Hip Hop is deeper then Jay-Z. Hip Hop is deeper then Lil Wayne.

Do you even know what the elements of Hip Hop are? These are the pillars that hold it together!

Graffiti: The relationship between graffiti and hip hop culture arises both from early graffiti artists practicing other aspects of hip hop, and its being practiced in areas where other elements of hip hop were evolving as art forms. Graffiti is recognized as a visual expression of rap music, just as breaking is viewed as a physical expression.

Beatboxing: The art form enjoyed a strong presence in the '80s with artists like the Darren "Buffy, the Human Beat Box" Robinson of the Fat Boys and Biz Markie showing their beatboxing skills. Beatboxing declined in popularity along with break dancing in the late '80s, and almost slipped even deeper than the underground. Beatboxing has been enjoying a resurgence since the late '90s, marked by the release of "Make the Music 2000." by Rahzel of The Roots

Breaking: B-boying is one of the major elements of hip hop culture, commonly associated with, but distinct from, "popping", "locking", "hitting", "ticking", "boogaloo", and other funk styles that evolved independently during the late 1960s in California.

Hip Hop Love? Part 1.

If it were left up to the blogs & gossip, we'd be left to think love cannot exist in this industry, amongst two. What about if both "lovers" are artists? It seems to almost make it worse off for them.

With Nas's Divorce & Child Support Settlement to Kelis being $44,000 - that's over $1,400 a day![ Quite frankly, that's a LOT of fucking $$ ]

What about the reigning King & Queen of the music industry Jay-Z & Beyonce? All seems well, but we never saw any signs

from Nas & Kelis either. Nor did we see the fall of Rihanna and Chris Brown, coming our way.

With all the Infidelity that's accepted throughout the Hip Hop Community especially I'm surprised anyone would even think of getting "hitched".

Big figure incomes + a Spot light watching your every move. Cheating becomes quite obvious, and if it isn't I'm sure their paying beautiful amounts to make sure their secrets are safe with those whom have the ability to expose them.

That brings me onto another topic... What's with the newly found acceptance of adulteration? Are they not human just like you and I? Why is it that, it's acceptable for a wealthy man to have an affair but not the "average joe" ?

This question, I ask myself this for too personal

of reasons to bring up. You see true love blossoming before you, if you open your eyes to it, on the floor of the matter. If you're actually in the industry you'll see the dirt underneath the rug . There is quite a bit, might I add. But WE ALL know this! Why do we act so shocked? Seriously!?!

I say people should watch what Oprah's doing AND DATE! lol. Don't get married. Especially if you're planning on cheating.

Mickey Factz

Mickey Factz is by far one of the most interesting new editions to the Rap Game. For only being in this industry a short amount of time he's quite successful with getting himself out there for the world to see.

WHAT!?!?Haven't heard of Mickey Factz? He's another artist born & raised in no other then the Bronx, NY! But nothing is typical about this young talent.

Shortly after leaving New York University law school to focus on music full-time, a buzz was created. Sooner then expected we were introduced to Mickey with the "In Search of the N.E.R.D.," mixtape. Which was a medley of songs from which Mickey first blessed us with his unique lyrical talent over Pharrell's Music Group N.E.R.D. No less than a year later the blogs were buzzing about Mickey's "Flashback," which was shortly followed by the critically acclaimed "Heaven's Fallout."

Those of us who knew Mr. Factz were silently, loudly, insanely, just waiting. WAITING FOR WHAT? For something big. SOMETHING HUGE! This Bronx-Bred New Schooler had something different, something about his energy. We were waiting for his success story.

In the dawn of 2008, every blog-site, Hip-Hop Website, Myspace page, had some posting or other of "Mickey Factz" Weekly songs were being posted called "The Leak." On "The Leak Vol. 1" and "The Leak Vol. 2," Fuel just being added onto his fire, he was getting hot, the TWEETS were talking! Soon everyone had heard "Automatic" or "Incredible". Quickly he went from a meager 100 downloads, per posting. To almost 10,000 downloads. He had to of been doing something right. RIGHT?

Doing something write indeed, soon Factz would be placed on the Cover of XXL's December issue as part of its annual top 10 up-and-coming feature, but it didn't stop there soon a Honda Accord Camp

ign was put on the table for Mr. Factz. Yet again more of a buzz was created. At this point many were thirsty for a

taste of what ever came next from Mickey. 2009 Mickey was on his grind, with the commercial and magazine out, he was soon at every music conference and major industry event going.

New School Hip Hop?

Needless to say we've introduced some interesting characters these past few years to the world. Some quite talented , others quite abstract, and some that were just plain out "what the fuck". 

These new school artists are fighting and striving to make it in this industry, which is tricky. Especially with the average rate of album sales lower then they've ever been. Many of us find it so much simpler to click twice on our laptops and upload the albums sometimes weeks before the actual album release. Yet we claim to support these artists? 

We aren't purchasing concert tickets anymore, like we used to. Touring is minimum. Cities are being cut out of the line up. It's quite sad. We protest our love for music but cannot support our love? Why is this? What are your thoughts...

Who has came out this year that you've supported? Who are you assuming will flop? What underground artists are you hoping will make it mainstream?

Off and On, I prefer the business aspect of the industry, I've left the journalism side simmer for awhile, it'll be a hobby.
